G'day G'day
Iām Rosie Henderson - a multimedia creative who grew up in the bush and by the beach in Kepa Kurl Esperance on the South Coast of Western Australia.
Deeply inspired by these places, stories, and landscapes, my work explores life in regional Australia, the human experience and connection to ourselves, Country and community.
Taking photos from an early age, I learnt to shoot on my parents 35mm Pentax and Minolta. Entirely self taught, I embarked on many journeys before beginning my journey as a full time creative.
Upon completing a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Politics, Journalism, and International Relations in the big smoke, I took off in search of passport stamps and years of overseas adventures - I travelled India on an Enfield, hiked the Himalayas of Nepal, lived in New Zealand, and sipped on sangrias in Spain.
I now work as a freelance photographer and videographer collaborating alongside a range of clients on everything from documentary films to fashion campaigns. I also work in art and creative direction - bringing events, sets, brands and visions to life.
Outside of 'work', I can be found hanging with my side-kick of the Kelpie kind Nelson and loving partner and fellow adventurer Matty McIntyre, camping, hiking, swimming in the ocean, listening to music, learning about human evolution, the brain, and being, tending to our 15 acre bush block, playing in the gardens, and endeavouring to explore and enjoy all of the good that exists in life and the world around me.
